The Dörfler family has been manufacturing string bows of superior craftsmanship in Germany for four generations. Daniel Dörfler founded the company with the goal to bring German bow making up to famous French bowmaker, Tourte’s, standard of quality. Committed to perfection and artistic intuition, Daniel's son Egidius Dörfler has transformed the master workshop into what it is today. Andreas, Roland and Tanja Dörfler continue with this master tradition in the fourth generation. Dörfler is committed to sustainability of used resources, in particular the reforestation projects of pernambuco trees, which come from northern and central-east Brazil. Dörfler is a member and supporter of the IPCI, which is committed to the sustainability and reforestation of this precious type of tree.
